Subbody school 2010 is over.
At the moment, my subbody starts to integrate all experiences of this year
through whole night.
He gave me so many new awarenesses.
Awareness comes up always to find a hidden connection between issues which
I regarded two different things.
One of them is finding an unification of the tenbodies and the archetypes.
They are resonating in the collective unconscious realm.
I didn't know what is the bottom body. I have just continued to become
my bottom body. It brought me a special somatic feeling as a mystery. I
suggested to find own bottom to students. Some of them didn't meet it.
But a few students met it and created unique subbody. Their dance has changed
completely and deepened by finding own bottom. What did happen?

She has met her own Archtype "Furie" and danced it.
I surprised the Synchlonisity. When present students strrugled with each
own Archetypes, "Dark Feminine", "Great Mother", "Animus","
Girl", "Samurai commander", "Niou( Gardian), and so
on, ex-students met their own Archetypes, too. Also Pit has told us that
he met "Christ" which is one of the biggest Archtype in Western
world.
Furie is in Greek mythology the Erinyes (literally "the angry ones") or Eumenides (literally "the gracious ones" but also translated as "Kind-hearted
Ones" or "Kindly Ones") or Furies or Dirae in Roman mythology were female chthonic deities of vengeance or supernatural
personifications of the anger of the dead. (by Wikipedia)
Asuka laid down her naked body weared just small plastics, and moved as
if near death lezard. Her performance becomes radically deeper year by
year.
Now, we are dancing with Shisha (the Dead) in resonance at the same time
beyond the borders of physical space and time.
We need to shift the struggle against the strenth of Archetypes to a creation.
Why does a specific Archetype visits us? It is the Mystery, nobody knows.
We cannot chose them, but the Archetype choses us. What did happen in the
struggle, and how is it be able to pass through the hardships, and overcome
to creation, it is the Secret. Only through those inevitable processes,
we can meet the noble timing blooming a Flower.
Students sink into the abyss of life, and research each own qualia by various
way, and guide into it each other in this month.
The travel is full of mysteries, we cannot expect whatever will happen.
Odile met "Dark Feminine" in the travel into her abyss.
She said " I noticed that I don't know anything now."
She has to deconstruct her peice which she constructed until then at all.
One of the symbol of it is "Ereshkigal", a Mesopotaminan goddess
who lives in the underground. She has a sister Inanna who lives in the
Heaven.
Inanna is a goddes of Love, War, and Fertility. Ereshkigal is a goddess
who can control the power of the dead.
Inanna did the descent of the underground passing seven gates with lost
clothing, and the ascension.

I also traveled together and encountered unexpected big edge.

My own travel is the following;
The "Dark Feminine" resonates with the archetype of "the
Great mother" , and atacked me.
I noticed that my mother was a "Dark Feminine", too.
I loved her, and hated her, I could not have a proper relationship until
she died.
It was my deepest sadness in my life. It became a trauma.
I found the reason why I could not create a dance piece of my mother yet,
in spite I continued to try it for sixteen years long. How was my trauma
about my mother bound in a complicated ways. The feelings about mother
was muddled by hatred and love, and unified a mystic chaos by connected
those archetypes in the unconscious realm.
I could not be aware of the element of the Dark Feminine until then.
Because in Japanese culture there is no dark female goddes.There was only
one Goddess of the Sun; Amateras Oomikami". The dark elements of femine
are hidden out of the main Japanese culture. But my mother might be a Dark
Feminine. I got an awareness that I have to investigate in the archetype
of the Dark Feminin, too to overcome my trauma which I was thrown away
by my mother when I was three years old.
No, it is not exact, my mother had just left me by my grandmother during
I was three to seven years old. But after the long apart from her, it was
so hard to feel her as my true mother. I had to pretend to be a good son
in front of her in spite of a sense of alienation, though I respected her
nature, and hated at the same time.Love and hatered become muddled and
unifiyed as oneness.
The trauma efected me strongly and made me a failer of love through my
life.
I have never succeed to love any women until now.
It must be so hard travel into the archetypes of Dark Feminine, but I have
to perform it to be released from the trauma.
Next morning I had a dream which I as a parental big bird is breeding the
baby birds to put various foods into their mouths. I put food and battries.
Batteries?!
How can they digest it?
Suddenly I noticed that also I as a midwife of student's subbodies and
cobodies might put their mouths like batteries which are hard to digest.
The batteries are a metaphor of the too much informations which I gave
students everyday.
It is my worst habit.
After all, the dream told me that I am a Dark Feminine, too!
I laught at the non-dual awareness.
Ha, ha, ha...
Please read this article. it's very important for all of us.
I collected bottom shapes of Kazuo Ohno.
Only dynamic standing pose is spread to the world as if Ohno's trade mark.
I worryed about it. It guides people to a big misunderstanding about his
butoh.
Ohno's butoh was distorted by those great pose of his pictures.
Photographers used to shoot the timing of his standing and spread his big
hands to the sky.
In spite of that it is merely the final pose of his butoh, camera men aimed
to shoot the great final pose. Because it is felt as the beauty for their
eyes.
But their eyes are warped by modern daily sense of beauty.
Photographers who shoot only his great pose, distort his life of butoh
completely. And the sad thing, many Western butoh dancers are inflenced
by 'the fake of Ohno's butoh style', and it spreaded to the world.
For long long years I worryed about it.
It is one of the flower of his butoh, all right. He looked even being happy.
But flower is not made of by flower itself.
Flower becomes the flower suported by the secret and the mystery.
Ohno's real dance was wandering the dark world below the knee, he faced
to the edge of death, listen to the other world, full of the secrets and
mysteries of life there. And he found the timing to bloom the flower.
Without facing to the mystery, the butoh turns to the fake dance.
Most of photographers seem not to see his secret and mystery.
Yoshito Ohno, his son said "Kazuo had another world under the knee.
It was another cosmos for him. ' The world of under the knee was very important
for him.In case of modern dance, the tendency to orient upper direction
against the Gravity is strong. But, for kazuo, in the opposite. When he
felt something under world, he just fall down. The speed is terrible. In
a moment he was fallen."

I collected Ohno's photos of the opposite pose against the great pose of
his butoh.
It was hard, because too rare to find.
Fortunately in the works of Naoya Ikegami, I could find a few photos.
I deeply apriciate Naoya's important works. It may be usefull to save the
worldwide misunderstanding about Kazuo's butoh.
Please taste them by your life., with stopping your dayly sense of the
beauty.
We need to take off all conditions of human. And ask your life, please. "What is the real Flower of his butoh?"
"What is the Secret of his butoh?"
"What is the Mystery for his butoh?" All of the Secrets and Mysteries are invisible.
Only when you stop your daily mind, it will become able to resonate for
your life.
You must find the deepest rich Flowers of Kazuo's butoh in his bottom bodies.
Trinity is the most imporatnt method to release from sualistic bind, and to enter malti-dimensional and non-dual realm.
Life doesn't have dualism at all. All of dualistic thinking; in/out. up/down,
self/others, and so on is man-made temporary structure.
We need to take off all kinds of dualistic habit of thinking and judgment
to enter the life realm.
I noticed about it long ago. In subbody method, there are many trinity
method; Jo-Ha-Kyu (Bginning- Changing-Climax=Ending: This was found by
Noh-dance master Zeami around 600 hundred years ago), KA-Hi-Mei ( Flower-
Secret- Mystery), Sen-Shin-Hitsu (Novel- Numinous- Necessary), Zu-Ji-Cho
(Picture-Ground-Sign), and so on. But, surpisingly when I repeated to read
Hijikata's butho-hu carefully, I found that also Hijikata noticed about
the importance of the trinity.
So many trinities are hidden in his butho-hu.
At first I noticed the following trinity at the first paragraph.
・A fine spider’s thread which runs on the forehead
・A beggar
・The lower back of the cat
'A fine spider's thread' is a movement of a tiny detail of the body.
'The lower back of the cat' is a movement of a small part of the body.
'A beggar' is a transformation of the whole body.
' Ditail- Part- whole' , we call this 'trinity of body'.
The infinite fine shivering and swaying which we can see about Hijikata's
butoh body is made of controlling by this trinity of body (Detail- Part-
Whole) delicately.
This is the hidden secret of weakened body butoh technique.
After this finding, through body reading of the score, I could find so
many trinities in the score.
After finishing the decipherment and translation of the butoh score,
long term students started inventing new practice methods around the score.
Today Odile chose No.16 paragraph, and guided us to dig our darkness of
bodies deeper.
16 The difficulty to change place
The body is the dancing place. A dancing place of
hand, a dancing place of hip, a dancing place behind the elbow, and so on.
The depth of the dancing place is formed by overcoming
hardship and connecting memories involved in each part of body.
For example, I find that it is very precious thing
that there is a peacock in the garden of Mr. Yanagida's house.
And, the place of the can factory is told by my dear
powder.
They become my blood in the dancing.
Here, Hijikata said that we need real qualia which our life resonated deeply
for dancing, like peacock which he surprised when he encountered it at his friend's house, or can factory where he used to work at in his young age, there were so deep important
inner qualia for his life.
These real qualia for our life changes a movement to a necessary dance.
Only physical movement is merely a movement. When a movement and real qualia
merge into oneness, it become a dance.
Hijikata said here to us the following;
"There are so many empty dances without real blood of life in the
modern soceity.
Research your own necessity of dancing, find out your own real qualia of
life resonance. Only these bring the real butoh dance."
Odile used a music as qualia which are involving into each part of body,
and with using only one part of body; hand, wrist, elbow, hip, foot, eyes,
ear, chin, body cavity, and so on, let us try to dance in the three stage
as the following;
Move with riding on the music. ( In Hijikata's word; connecting with the
music)
Move without
riding on the music. ( In Hijkata's word; overcoming the involved music)
Create each
one's own dance with the qualia of blood.
When we did this practice, we found that this is so rich way of
creation.
Because, when a physical movement and unique qualia merge into oneness,
it become a real dance.
So rich and novel movement came out from each student's darkness of
body, one after another.
Also I got a novel awareness through body reading about the peacock
of this paragraph.
Hijikata told us, "Remember the qualia when your life got deep
resonance with shining or surprising. The real shining resonance of life must
become the real blood to turn your movement to a flower.
If only physical movement, it is merely a movement, but when it merge with
real qualia of life resonance, it turns it to the flower of dance.
That's why so many novel subbodies came out today.
These practice is the real good one for opening the creativity of
life.
We researched the real surprising or shining moment in our life, and
could dig out so many forgotten hidden qualia and they connected to new subbody
butoh dances.
When we
see the video clips of Hijikata's weakened body butoh, "A girl" and
"Hosotan", we can catch only random sways which is shivering into
various directions. It was the same for me for long years, too.
But, I
was attracted by it deeply, though I did not know the reason why.
It was a
deep mystery for me for long time.
The
mystery guided me to study his butoh with his butoh score.
Through
the researching of his butoh score by body, slowly we can find so rich and
delicate contents of it.
Today, a long term student Ikuko picked up the related parts to shivering
from the score as the following.
A fine
spider’s thread which runs on the forehead
When I
rubbed a mirror, there was a swaying shadow of flower
A
fragile sound collapsed in a storage barn
Bird's fear and bug's fear
The
dizziness, shivering and swaying of flowers
A mescaline injection is given at a fingertip
A shout and a girl--shivering before collapsing
Bugs attach to the hand of senile Raka
I pick a flower on the road
by attacked from behind and inside.
Shivewring, the ripples are spreading on the floor and in the sky.
24 (Shivering)
When I rubbed a mirror, there was a swaying shadow of flower.
1. The extreme dirtiness of the stuff enduring
2. A waltz of cow and tree is shivering
3. When I rubbed a mirror, there was a swaying
shadow of a flower from behind.
4. Shivering
5. Picking flowers on the road--walking blind--dog
6. Spoon--an old lady
7. Shivering
8. Flowers and small faces are hung on the lattice of the squared
paper

10 On the floor and in the sky, too
We
repeated reading of these texts by bodies , then slowly our bodies could felt
the differences of the shivering. And it became clear what he said at No. 13
paragraph.
"The
shivering---The forms are independent".
It meant
that there are various kinds of shivering, and he could distinguish the
difference of each shivering.
There appers so ricihness of subtle life resonance in front of us.
I can
hear his voice, " Stop your thinking and listen in your life, also you can
find that your life is shivering as the same as this.Isn't it?"
When we can open more delicate sensitivity, it is able to catch these infinite
deverse swaying of life. It is more tasty, than the so called beautiful
great movement of gross body.
Through
these practice, it will become able for everybody to get the weakened body
technique.
I
recommend it strongly. You can get the infinite richness and depth of the
weakened body butoh.
In Hijikata's butoh body, there is a boxed body.
But, it was mystery for me for long time.
Finnaly, the question was solved.
Now we are studying of Hijikata's last butoh score for "The Quiet
house".
At first we tryed to disifer it. The text is so difficult and strange Japanese.
Even for me it took for over ten years to read and understand. Now we are
translate it into basic English. Because most of readers are non English
speakers. It is so hard to translate the most myster.ious Japanese text
into one thousand vocabrary of the basic English.
But now we have finished it, and proceed to the second stage to read it
by body.
This body reading is the most imporatant process. Everyday we read and resonate by body.
Through this process, we could meet many new awarenesses.
One of them is the connection between Hijikata's boxed body and bottom
body.
We can find many variations of boxed body in the text.
A
mad king was put in the box
A bird which becomes a box
Small box of joints--Hans Bellmer--Samurai commander--Princess--tiger
The queen will be put in a box of joints
When I tasted these boxed body by my body, suddenly I noticed "Oh!
This is totally the same as the bottom body!"
During I read by only head, I couldn't notice at all, but through the body
reading, body felt the same qualia of the both.
That's why the body reading is so important.
Bottom body is still a mystery for me. I cannot explain what it is exactly.
The darkness of body is infinite, actually, there is neither bottom nor
top.
The bottom body is just a means to dance from the depth.
Try to find the smallest and weakest body which is driven from the world.
For the time being, we call it "Bottom body".
Maybe it is the most warped body, or the most pressed body.
Anyway tryt to find it.
This is a working hypothesis to search how to dance from the depth.
It is worth to search, at least you can avoid the sharrow surface dance by dance from the bottom.
Though it is hard to move with the bottom physically, because it is the
minimum size of body. You may meet various edge qualia which is not confortable.
But also they are worth to taste.
Ikuko found an intersting method of practice for becoming Chimera body.
She chosed two or three different qualia. And our bodies share the two
or three defferent qualia at the same time or chaninging one after onother>
for example a part becomes tree, and the other part becomes cow, and exchange,
and transform to next chimera, as the following;

Head of salmon/ body of girl
Chair/ animal
Mad king/ girl
Mirror/ cat
Dragonfly/ doll
Samurai commander/ queen
Face of horse/ beggar
Spoon/ old woman
Small flower/ bug
Stick/ mask

Hands of mescaline/ rakan/ stuffed body (*1)
Board/ paper/ dead
These different qualia are mixed, exchanged, and make interaction in the
body and transform by the various resonance patterns. We can taste so rich
unexpected body qualia streaming through the paractice.
At first we doit by alone.
At the next stage, we do it by coupled bodies which move together in the
close relationship as one chimera body.
One body becomes tree and the other becomes cow, and exchanges, mixes,
interacts each other. Also this opens a new paradigm of duet.
Chimera is an imaginary creature in the Greece myth, which are mixed by
lion, goat and snake, and blows fire from the mouse.
Almost archtype beings are made by mixing various different elements as
the slideshow above.
The creation happens by the resonance with different qualia for life. Then
the condition of chimera is just general fenomena for life.
Remmber "an encounter of a sewing machine and an unbrela on the operation
table" by Dadaism. Butoh is unifying the dadaism, surrealism and all
kinds of experiments of creation, and deepen them as the life.
I recommend this parctice to the readers. It will open your imagination
of the body to the maximum level.
Who was dancing?
Who was danicng with using my physical body?
It was not me, but someone else who lives in the darkness of my body.
I didn't understand it for long year.
After ten years, now I can say that my dead friends were dancing with possessing
my body.
Fourty years ago, when we were young, we fought to stop the Vietnum war.
The war happened between US Gavernment which pursured to controll Vietnum
as their colony, and Vietnum people who wished to be indipendent. US army
used the biggest violence, bombs, chemcals. They were based on US army
camp in Japan, and japan gavernment supported the war as a puppet of US
gavernment. We resisted against Japanese and US gavernment by demonstration
at first, but Gavernment oppressed it by violence of police, then we had
to fight with violence. In these fighting, eighty students were dies.
Three of my intimate friends was included. I was a leader of the activities.
I organized many friend as resistants, but I could not die, because at
first I was arrested by police, and instead of me my friends was died.
I had deep guilty for them after the period.
For many years, my dead friends visted me in the nightmare often.
Oneday, I said to them, "Please use my body freely and dance it freely!".
It became my solos, "Infectious Fever", "Dead Fever"
and so on.
I performed thoset pieces in various conuntries as another peroson during
these world tours.
This was a secret in my depth, because if I speak about this, I could not
explainwhat happened well, and nobody must not understand.
Now I can say that these fenomena of possession are just life resonance.
Our life is resonating with everything beyond death and life.
Possessed body is not so much special thing for life. Though we need deep
training and experience to controll it transparently.
Only in the long term course we can learn together about this.
The deepest beauty appears in the resonance of life.
Sometimes, we have experienced that unexpected so beautuful resonance happens
among our life.
We don't know what happens, but we notice that our life is deeply moved
by it.
I cannot explain what is the resonance body well.
The subbody is the subconscious body, and cobody is resonating subbody, this is the normal explanation about subbody and cobody.
I have reserched subbody and cobody for long years, but acctually the relationship
between subbody and cobody is a deep mystery and unsolved secret for me.
I cannot explain the relationship with normal logical word. Because it
is beyond logic at all.
Why subbody transforms from subbody to cobody suddenly?
At that moment, the border between the individual and the group disappears.
What is that?
And at the moment our life was moved deeply.
Why?
Recently I got an awaerness that the beauty must connect to the life resonance
at the unknown dimension.
It is unknown mystery that's why I research it.
Always I am waiting for the beautifull moment when the unexpected resonance
happens.

Weakened body is the most basic body of butoh.
Modern human body is too strong to resonate together. Its ego and self
is too strong and disturb to be life. We need to take off all condition
of the human and become weakened body. Then we can resonate with all kind
of life; one celled creature, plants, bug, fish, ameba, collapsed, disabled,
near death bodies.
Life is resonating together beyond all kinds of border which modern human
is bound.
Life is resonating with all kind of qualia; memories, dreams, imaginations,
illusions, emotions, beyond time and space.
We need to learn how to stop thinking, breath of life, and vaporized thecnique
to become the weakened body.
Hidden bodies whom we don't know are living in the darkness of body.
They were born in the vsarious time in our life, but were not allowed to
live in this world.
They are called as eha shadow, not-me, inferior personality, sub-character,
and so on.
They are living hidden in the depth of the darkness of body with shrinking
into the minimum size for long years.
Some of them are forgotten at all by dissociated.
We call up them to dance together.
When the main character controll us, they are not able to come out.
We need to stop the daily consciousness, and become subconscious mode,
to let them come out.
At the slideshow above, we collect hidden bodies which students digged
out from their darkness of body. They are so unique and interesting people.
We need to create a world which all hidden bodies are allowed to live together.
How the world will become diverse and funny.
Our subbody school is the place to taste the future world ahead.
"Proto body" is the most primitive tendency of life in the darkness
of body.
Listen in the darkness of body, and research the most slow, hard to move
tendency of life.
In the modern human society these tendencies are regarded as lazy, inferior,
and looked down, but for life they are the most proto tendencies as a creature.
Our life has been long time with unable or hard to move body. It is important
necessary qualia for life.
Take off the human conditions, and become the proto creature.
There are unique beauty in the lezard movement, sea slug movementm and
handicapped people's movement.
If you cannot feel them as a beauty, it means your beauty sense is bound
by narrow contemporary human concept.
Many students created so unique proto bodies in different forms.
We have to create the future world which any slow movement, any handcapped
body must not be looked down and be respected as uniqueness.

We need to open the infinite diverse world which any lives can live together.
The darkness of body is infinite, actually, there is neither bottom nor
top.
The bottom body is just a means to dance from the depth.
Try to find the amallest and weakest shape of body.
For the time being, we call it "Bottom body".
Maybe it is the most warped body, or the most pressed body.
Anyway tryt to find it.

He is the best teacher for the transparent resonance body.
Without thinking any thing, he is resonating with everything in the world.
Our human body is made of ten trillion cells. We are not alone, ten trillion
cell's resonance body.
Each cell has a life, and each life is resonating with everything; present
physical
qualia and inner qualia as memories, dreams, imaginations, illusions, emotions,
desires, and so on beyond time and space.
Life is the integration of these infinite multi dimansional resonance.
To feel resonance of life means to feel all of these infinite connections of resonance. These resonance are beyond the border between death and life, beyond time and space.
I prefer to feel them the most.
I like them, I taste them, and I enjoy them.
That's all.
I spend time as subconscious mode, with swaying between sleepimg and awaking.
Then so many unexpected ideas are coming up one after another.
Because it is the most creative condition of life without any daily binds
of dualistic thinking and judgement.
After I moved Himalaya, the subbody method and resonance theory are generated
in succession. It is not production by thinking work, but it depended on
the creativity of life in the subconscious condition. .

You can open the infinite creativity of life.

move your body .

your own main motif for dancing, and keep it as your secret.

is the big problem for you in your life?"
"Who
does move me?"
"Why
do I dance?"

am I?"

For
creation, somehow we need a reason to dance. If you find it, keep it as your
own secret. Never tell it others.
Keep a
face of floor throughout the whole time
This is a
general method. Keep your face flat like as floor throughout whole time.
Stick
to a face of salmon as a monomaniac
But,
sometimes your hidden body will come out. Let them come out at the best timing.
Contact with various sub-personalities, shadows, not-me, inferiority characters
and so on in the travel of your darkness of body. And find the best timing to
come out for each of them.

Find your
own butoh world qualia which are swaying between death and life. The world in
the darkness of body is always changing and streaming like as dream world. We
need many kinds of world qualia and find the best timing of opening different
dimensions.

This is
the general method to become the nest body which wears many different behind
worlds. Keep a nest of forest on your hidden skins, and being moved by various
other world. Your eyes become nest of eyes which eyes become many kind of
rotten eyes. And watch this living world from another world.

Remember
the mostimpressive person, and follow
the transformation of that person like as the dream world.

inner audio channel which is resonating with various inner sounds, voices,
musics. And being moved by a resonance with them.

Remembera most impressive place, and dance in that
place. That place will bring up various different channels memories; smell,
taste, touching, visual, and audio.They
will be your dance partner.
・A regeneration of a reduction by X
Thisis the most important method to open your
creativity to the maximum. Try to reduce some element from a thing or a world.
For example reduce a element; age, gender, nationality and so on from you. You
will change the age, sex, and become another being, and come back to your daily
body. You will meet so many other possibilities for transformation from this
process.

Always
open flexible resonance with invisible world. And enter into another world with
becoming another being.
Long
years I have investigated in the transparent body. At the beginning, I could
feel it, but I could not explain it by wordat all. It was just the most ideal condition of body and mind.
Now I can
say a few characteristics of the transparent body.
No boundary
When we
are in the daily body condition, there are hard boundaries between
consciousness, subconscious and body. In the conscious mode, there are hard
boundaries between main channel and other channels. Consciousness can feel only
one channel qualia at the same time. Also there are hard boundaries in the
consciousness between intending thing and other qualia.
The other
side of the boundary is opaque for daily body/mind, When we are in theconscious mode, we cannot feel any qualia
beyond the boundaries, because it is in the dark opaqueness.
On the contrary, there are no boundaries in the life resonance and subconscious.
Life is
always resonating with everything beyond borders. All qualia are resonating
beyond time and space in the subconscious and subbody. This world is non-dual
and multi-dimensional world, it has complete different logic from daily world.
Our
consciousness is bond by dualism logic, then we cannot contact to the non-dual
and multi-dimensional world with keeping conscious mind.
Transparent
condition is to remove these boundaries to become subconscious body mode, which
we call "subbody" released from daily condition.
Especially,
important point is to be "subbody" whichopens body and movement channel.
No intention and no tension
Transparent
body is deeper level of subbody, which can feel outer qualia and inner qualia
equally. We open to inside 50 percent and to outside 50 percent. Outer qualia
are present physical qualia, and inner qualia are including memories, dreams,
imaginations, illusions, emotions, feelings, bodily sensations and so on.
Timeless and spaceless
Exactly
saying, we cannot divide both of inner qualia and outer qualia, because they
are in the non-dual world. There are no border between outside and inside, now
and past or future.
When we
become transparent body, we can feel all qualia beyond time and space, beyond
all channels from body and movement channel to relationship and world-self
channel.
Momentary and spontaneously
When we
are thinking, it takes time. But transparent body does not delay. It can
response immediately with the real time life resonance. Momentary and
spontaneous is the characteristic of transparent body.
Non-dual and multi-dimension
Life is
always resonating with every qualia beyond time and space in the non-dual and
multi-dimensional world. It has completely different logic from daily consensus
reality.
Daily
logic is bond by assumptions of dualism; up/down, in/out, self/others,
good/bad, right/wrong, and so on. But in the life, there are any judgments like
them.
Life is
just resonating without subject and object. Qualia themselves are also
resonance.
Transparent
body is just follow the life resonance without any tension and intention in the
no boundary world.
Extreme creativity
In the
transparent condition, we can contact all hidden memories, dreams, fantasies,
imaginations beyond time and space. All of them are just streaming and changing
flexibly. This is the secret why transparent body can open infinite creativity
of subconscious and life.
Opening all channels
Transparent
body is a condition which opens all channels. Especially, it opens body and
movement channel. Exactly saying, there are no channel in the life resonance.
This is the biggest different point between traditional meditation and
subbody method. Because traditional meditation is not open movement channel.
Without movement channel, we cannot contact the non-dual qualia resonance,
because they are streaming with all channel qualia.
Midwife
In this year, I will start to teach how to become the transparent body
slowly.
No! Exactly saying, it is not teaching. Your life is transparent already.
I can be just a midwife of your transparent body. I will facilitate you
how to notice the transparency of your life.

Dancers can create a world by resonance
In the second week of August intensive cource, we learn Hijikata's Bugs
walk.
Dancers can create a world together flexibly with resonance.
It is excredible wonderful thing, no other genle art can do like this.
Subbody butoh dancers are pioneer for how to create an Utopia by life resonance.
Our experiment of co-creation a world will be resorce for future system
of new human society.
My work is to bring up students to super creators same as Hijikata.
"What is the beauty for dance?"
Suddennly, the big question visited me.
After the July intensive course has finished, and tasted each student's
subbody butoh in the bathroom.
When the school had begun several years ago, there was only one month course.
Comparing with before, I felt somthing diffferent.
What has changed?
I searched in my impression, then I noticed in one word, they became beautiful.
My life was moved by student's subbody and cobody movement.
What moved me?
It was subtle life resonance in the subbody-cobody theater.
Maybe, the subbody method was reduced waste things and polished, then the
multi dimensional subtle life resonance came out transparently.
The difference from before is just a little bit, but very delicate resonance
was coming out and sank deep into my mind and body.
I could feel transparently the subtle shivering of life which words cannot
describe.
I realized that I have pursured the deepening of beauty for these years.
What on earth is the beauty for dance?
I felt that the beauty comes from deep life resonance.
Life created so diverse resonance patterns from the beginning moment when
the origin of life was born four billion years ago. At the first time,
life could resonatehardly with only a few substances. For example life
had to wait to find proper resonance way with oxigion gas for over one
billion year. But year by year, life invented many resonance patterns with
almost things on the palanet, and invent diverse ways of life. Some of
them invented way of life in the ocean, other species invented on the land,
in the sky and underground. .
Life has infinite creativity, resonativity and originality. Subbody butoh
method is to open these infinite possibilities of life.
Expansion of the beauty
The ancient dance was to devote to the great Spirit or God.
Before of them, I guess the most primitive dance was just the gushing out
of life.
But, ancient people understood that the infinite creative qualia must be
a gift from the great Spirit or something.
Still now the traditional Indian dances are just devoted to the God.
When human made the Nation-State, the Court dance was to devote to the King, the beauty was to express
the social role, Queen, Princess, Knight and the common people. The modern dance broke the ancient limit and invent the beauty of individual ego expression.
The radical desruction of original modern dances by Isadora Dankan and
Lavan showed that it was a revolution of the beauty against the traditional
beauty. The contemporary dance expanded the beauty from ego to whole self expression. Pina Bausch invented
the dance theater to express all kind of issues of human society.
But the contemporary concept of beauty was bound by the human concept.
Modern human society excluded all kind of miserable conditions of life
from the society and hided them. It dissociated the dead, sick, mad, mental
and physical handicapped people and cut out from the human concept. The
beauty of contemporary world is bound by narrow healthy human concept.
And only excelent choregrapher can create the whole theater, the dancers
are just choreographed.
Butoh of Life is to go beyond all those borders, and to expand the concept of beauty
for all kind of life. Each kind of life has own beauty, even ameba,slime,
jellyfish, snail, bug, lizard, animal have their own beauty. Also each
condition of life between death and life has own beauty, even mental and
physical handicapped, near death, mad, weakened being. When we reseach
our darkness of body, we meet many shadows, not-me, dissociated character,
weak, ugry tendencies.
We can resonate with all of miserable conditions of life. Life is moved
by the more miserable condition, by the deeper resonance.
When Tatsumi Hijikata explored the weakened body butoh, he had clear will to expand the beauty, then he could invented the novel
beauty in what was considered out of the beauty in the modern human world.
The weakened body butoh can resonate with all kind of miserable conditions
of life.
He resonated with the Minamata disease people whoes body was collapsed
by mercury pollution, and leprosy; Hansen's disease and so on.
Especially, he could dig out the deep truth of life which life can invent
new way of life with overcomng the demerit of the handicapped body. It is the deepest beauty of life. When I was early twenties, I was moved
deeply from the bottom of exsistense by Hijikata's butoh performance. I
could not understandat all what happened at that time. It became deep mystery
for me and sank down into the darkness of my body. The deep mystery of
butoh guided me to dicide to become a butoh dancer when I was fourty five
years old. I continued to investigate in Hjikata butoh by my body. After
fourty years from the first encounter with Hijikata's butoh, finnaly I
got that was an intense resonance between life and life.
And I got the method why only Hijikata could invent the extreme radical beauty.
Everybody can open the infinite creativity of life when we could stop our conscious mind, and listnig in life, and deep necessary subbody movements come out from the darkness of body. It becomes possible to create each own beauty of life as same as Hijikata. At length, slowly it comes out from student's body.
Life is resonating with various other worlds behind this world. We need
to take off the illusion of human, and the consensus reality which the
majority of people are bound. We have to release from all kind of judgment;
right/wrong, good/bad, beautiful/ugry, and so on. And we can recover the
resonativity with every thing as a life without any judgements and existent
concept of beauty.
The infinite creativity, originality, and resonativity of life are hedden
in our darkness of body. We can just open it.
If we head straight on this way, it will become possible to co-create a world together without any special choreographer. It is the Resocracy.
The resocracy is not only for dance theater, but also it will grow up to
a novel method for co-creating a new society which is able to manage everything
well by only life resonance.
Even it will take for thousands years, hte resocracy will be the new standard
instead of the agressive ego and self which is the standard in the modern
world.
Instead of the present world which is controlled by Nation-State, politics
of power, money and informations, we can change the world to which even
the weakest life can live peacefully. If a life would fall into the unhappy
condition, still it can create a new way of life and excahnge each other
freely. A transparent brightness of onfinite creativity of life will fill
all over the world.
My individual life will end in several years or so. Until then, I wish
to facilitatepeople who become a midwife( facilitater) of life resonance
as much as possible. Come to Himalaya. The gate for a novel and the most
noble way of life is open always for you.

When we practice various movement of body and mind, there is a moment which
suddenly mind and body movement become oneness.
It is the special moment which practice crystalizes to your butoh.
We said it "Sin-Gi-Tai (Unification of mind-body-and technique) in
Japanese traditional of art.
After several weeks continue practice of mind and body, this crystalization
often happens. It is the moment practice transforms real dance. We should
catch and fix the moment carefully with pricise qualia and the timng.
If we use the word of "mind", we are bound by human concept,
then we use the word of "qualia". It contains everything which
life feels; qualia of bodily feeling, movement, gravity, light, sound,
and inner memories, dreams, imagination, illusion, vision, and so on. Many
kinds of tendencies of subbodies; animal body
, hidden body, liquid body, stone body, vaporized body, weakened body,
and so on. All of them are streaming in the darkness of body.
Try to catch the moment which inner qualia stream and physical mement become
oneness. Become a carefull hunter to catch the subtle moment.
When we move with following bodily qualia stream, we cannot hunt it. Dancer
needs to become hunter at the same time. Hunter is always moving with the
target as oneness body. During dancing, the hunter watch yourself from
outside "Riken eyes" , and hunt the oneness moment.
And at the next stage, Listen in the best timing between a subbody movement
and next movement. There is only one best timing in every movement. Hunt
it!
Hunt the best speed, best stillness, best connection, and fix them.
From the beginning to the end, listen in the best "Jo-Ha-Kyu",
and hunt it, fix it.
Hunt your butoh!
Hunt the timing!
Hunt the Jo-ha-kyu!
This is the method to create your own choreography with listning your life
stream.
Now we get a method to co-create a world through only life resonance, without
any force, control, argument, and direction, though it is only the biginning.
We call it "Resocracy".
In the summer intensive workshop, we concentrate on the life resonance.
Everyday we start from breath of life, and feel our lives are resonating
with multi-dimansional qualia, gravity, levity, temperature, moisture,
air pressure, sound, light, and so on.
Not only these physical qualia, life resonates with inner qualia; memories,
dreams, imaginations, illusions, and so on at the same time.
We need to stop rough daily mind and body, becouse these inner qualia are
so subtler than physical qualia.
When we become subbody mode, we can feel the subtle resonance.
We continued it for these two weeks, with listening in the darkeness of
body, catching subtle signal, and following it, amplifing it to each subbody
movement.
And free resonance between each other's creation.
This third week, we entered the next stage to co-create each world of subbody
together thorugh life resonance. We have almost found the method, as the
following;
1. Getting the conditioning method
The conditioning is the essence of subbody method. We continue it everyday
in different ways. Then students can get the way of them.
Conditioning has some stages; the first stage is to release from dayly
conditions. Breathing, swaying, vibrating conditioning are the this stage.
2. Becoming
The second stage is to open resonativity to various qualia; gravity, levity,
warmth, coldness, fluidity, solidity, vaporing and so on. They are to become
everything; gas, stone, liquid, creature, hidden characters, archetypes,
and so on.
3. Finding own qualia
Each student meets various qualia in the dakness of body. When one follows
it, one can become something. Through these self reserch, each sudent get
own unique qaualia.
4. Sharing each own qualia by conditioning
Next stage is sharing each unique qualia by each conditioning.
This week students found each own qualia as the following;
-Volucanic stone ember
-Flower without baby
-Iniversal spiral
-Salted snail
-Unstable land
-Slime mucus
-Aging
-Exploring release
-Crystalization
-Heavy snow lion
Each student invented own conditioning way to share these qualia, and guided
other students. When students get these qualia as a group, we can create
a specific world by cobody movement.
5. Finding best combnation between subbdoy and cobody through resonance
This week we practiced these experiments. We asked each life, "What
world do you want to dance in?". "which relationship with the
world do you want to dance?"
Our life has each unique experiece with or against world., as a pressure,
bind, strict, struggle, trauma, and so on. If we find own dance with or
against a world, it must be necessary dance for life. Students tried diverse
combinations among subbody and cobody with various timing and spacing.
These experiments must become so rich treasures for resocracy which we
create a world together through only life resonance.
Slowly we are creating them. This is so exciting experience as a life.
So, we can release from the existing way of choreography which only a choreographer creates a world and directs dancers by one's own image.
I continued to investigate in it for long years, now finally we are finiding
it firmly.

Toward the resocracy
I noticed that a big shift is happening in the deeper realm of the darkness
of my body.
In this month, everyday students invent new resonance patterns through free resonance.
We can beleive that the creativity and resonativity of life is infinite.
For long year I investigate in the resonance, and beauty.
But I could not say like that above directly.
It is terrible thing to say what is the beauty, I thought so.
Beauty was always hidden in the numinous darkness for me.
Why do we feel the beauty at the special moment, and are moved deeply?
When I encounter the moment of unexpected beauty came out when students
who met first time resonated each other delicately, I noticed that the
beauty is from the life resonance!
When we notice a subtle invisible resonace between life and life,
something in our lives are moved deeply by unknown beautiful feeling.
It is numionous special experience which we feel only when we meet a beauty.
I could not defivne the beauty what it is yet until today.
I could not solve the question of what is the essense of beauty from the
life resonance.
But now, It is possible to say that the beauty is generated at a special
moment when we encounter a novel life resonance.
I don't hurry. Now I just find a entrance of the tunnel of what is the
beauty.
We will continue to explore this.
Subbody and cobody started subtle ife resonance at the subbody-cobody theater
of the last week of the first semester.
There are no subject and no object in the resonance.
It just happens transparently as a oneness of resonance among subbody
and cobody. When dancers can stop ego and self on the stage, it happens.
This is the miracle what I wanted to see for long years.
To become oneness is the most important thing for theater. If each dancer
could show excelent technique, but the stage could not become oneness,
the theater is just cold.
Before, yes, sometimes the theater crystalized into oneness, as Hijikata's
butoh theater. But it was depended on an excelent choreograper's irection
and control ability. Without a special choreographer by only life resonance
among dancers has happened. It is the first time for me to see. Even though
it is just the very beginning of them, like as an embryo.
I live to meet it for long years.
This week is the last week of the first semester of 2010. All students
try to integrate all subbodies and cobodies and create the last peice of
subbody butoh.
In this stage so special things which all qualia start storming and merging
happen.All qualia transform from single channel qualia to multi channel qualia
as relationalship channel or world=self channel.
Especially, when we choreograph the others body, we can experience the
deepest question between the world and the self, the mysterious secret
among the ego, self and the life.
A demon lives in the world-self channel, he tricks and magics us in strange
way which we have not experienced at all.
Our ego, self and life are merging and changing frequently there. We cannot
define what is ego, self and life. When our life recieve a warped qualia
as a presure from the world, life transforms into ego or self in order
to guard itself.We cannot understand what is the self. How is different
among ego, self and life. We meet the deepest unsolved question here. Especially,
each subbody has small ego when each one was made in the early period of
us. Small ego is not trained in the society, then it has tendency easy
to change to ego inflation or depression. Egos are swaying between smallest
size and biggest size. Also the world is changing among so different size
and constellation. The common illusions of the world as the nationalism,
some religious qualia, family binds, and so many archtypes arise from the
collective unconsciousness to magic us and bind us.
Anyway so diversitive size of ego and world qualia are interchanging in
the world=self channel. They confuse us completely. But, these confusions
beyond every border are absolutely necessary experience to become life.
Before, I tought this is the biggest channel in the darkness of body. But
it is not true. Beyond the world=self channel experiences, we can reach
the real life ralm. It is the multi-dimensional and non-dual realm of life.
There are no border between self and others, between inside and out side,
between mind and body, between female and male, between young and old,
between life and death. It is the real place of the life butoh.
Without experiences of this, we cannot say that we have experienced the
darkness of body. This is one of the reason that the minimum term of the subbody school
is at least one year.
Life and water are not able to be separated.
From the first moment of the birth of life, life was born in the water
four billion years ago. Water was the most intimate friend of resonance
for life. Still now life need water in the special important work, as the
fertilization, growing of the fetus, working of the brain, and so on.
Life and water are always resonating subtlly but firmly.
Without water life cannot survive, then life is always resonating with
the condition of water.
If water becomes bad condition at somewhere on the planet, life bocomes
strange condition by the resonance. Life does not feel the physical pain
as the human mind, but becomes a littel bit bad condition.
Our daily body is too rough to feel it, but when we stop our consciousness we can feel the deep resonance between water and life so clearly.
When life notices something wrong about water or air on the planet, the
condition of life becomes worse with resonance.
Life is resonating with everything, when we meet a sick person, handicapped
person, dying person, life becomes bad condition with resonance.
Resonance happens naturally without will. It is the resonativity of life.
Specially, the resonance between water on the planet and body fluid of life keep momentary resonance always.
When we watched the pictures and video of poisoned water which Odile showed
us yeasterday, the fluid of all student's body became strange condition
clearly.
The resonance happens quietly and naturally. We can just wonder at the
miraculous resonativity of life.
Butoh of life is to dance with listening such a resonance of life in multiple dimensions.
I didn't know the reason why I was so long-cherished to the stray nomad theater for fifteen years like as a patient suffering fron a fever. But I found it finally after realized it at the first time last week.
It was so terrible world unexpectedly. Only subtle life resonances were
happened transparently at the nomad theater. We have to move just by a
subtle life resonance at each moment from the beginning to the end.
If we could not stop the consciousness, it was seen transparently as a
opaque delay so clearly. Because the conscious movement is late from the
real time life resonance.
So, to realize a transparent life resonance field was the hidden aim which
drived me for fifteen years. A transparent field, if the ego, self, or
conscious eye comes out, it must be revealed as an opaque movement unshapely.
Everybody have to be only a transparent body which moves by only rotten
eyes and hidden skin. I wanted to realize a terrible field like that.
At the field everything becomes transparent. A world where we are allowed
only to be a transparent body.
I didn't imagine which a field like that could exist. I was so surprized
at honestly, because it was quite unexpectedly. I am just srprising at
now.
What happened? It will become clear gradually before long.
We have two kinds of breathing. One is the outer breathing through lung,
another is the inner breathing by each cell.
Feel these duble process of breathing always.
And remember what breathing did you do when you were a fetus.
There were full of womb's water in your mouth, nose, and lung, we could
not do lung breathing. Oxigen was send from your mother's haert into your
body. Fetus did only inner breathing at each cell.
Try to do fetus breathing.
You will notice that it is the same as "The breath of life".
It continued from fetus age. Oh! not only fetus, when we are one celled
creature, we have continued the cell breathing.
The breath of life, the breath of fetus, and cell breathing are the same.
Become cell, and resonate with everything. Life is resonating with every
thing in the multi-dimension. With air, gravity, light, sound, memories,
dreams, and so on. The cell breathing is one of them.
We continue to investigate in life. It is the deepest mystery for us.

Become a human couch cobody; each body finds a comfortable position with
resting on the others body. Maybe resting on a carpet is proper.
Remember your fetus dreams when you didn't know that you are human. You
might sway in the ocean, you might be one celled creature as ameba or plancton.
Feel subtle stimulus from your company through skin and tissue. We are
resonating with various qualia at the same time.ere
One by one starts dreaming and moving with following the dream. The others
also resonate with it. One of the dream might be as the following or something
similar as it.
Stray nomad in the desert
"There is a desert. A troup is moving in the desert, like as a bee's group, players of football or a group of Tareg people. I am on the edge of the group, or i am arround them---but I belong in it, i am connected by a edge of my body, by a arm or a leg. I understand that the edge of the group is the only one place to survive for me, if I am involved in the chaos, I have to die, but as same as it it is sure that I will die if I leave from them. it is not easy to keep my position and keep standing. Because, they are always moving and i cannot forsee what will happen next, they doesn't have any certain rhythm. Sometimes they whirl, move to the north and suddenly change to east. Each individual has not keep the same position to the others.Then I have to keep moving together. ---those things force me so much tension, but it gives me supreme bliss almost dazzling."
Anyway one by one starts dreaming and the others move with free resonance.
You are moving together as a group body from a carpet to onother carpet,
and calm down when you find next comfortable couch position.
The wonder of relationship between subbody and cobody is similar with the
dream above. Subbody becomes cobody, and cobody is subbody. We can separete
and connect flexiblly. Subbody and cobody is a rhizome. We can taste the
mystery by the body through the subbody-cobody experiments.
Above dream is a extra dream by a schizophrenia girl which is wrritten
in the "Mille plateaux" by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari,
1980.
The translation was published at 1994 in Japan. I have read it earnestly,
and suddenly I experienced what Santiago Sempere guide us in the dream
in his workshop. I was so surprized and became intimate friend with him.
I noticed that Hijikata in the butoh and Deleuze=Guattari in the compemporary thought pursured the same theme in Japan and in Europe
at the same time. It was a extra dream "What is the next way of life
after released from the human binds in the modern world.
Hijikata found a way to become a vaporized body, Deleuze=Guattari found it as a rhizome. Rhizome can be separate and connect
at any part. I have surprised a lot when I noticed iaporized body can transform to anything.
They are the same, completely same. When I found the sameness, I was surpised
at it so deeply.
We can continue to dream and experiment together as subbody and cobody.
How is it possible to co-create the world through life resonance? If we
got some results, we can return it to the life through creating subbody-cobody
butoh dance. This is the most novel and intersting way of life. Don't you
think so?

Whereabouts and wherefroms
This year I found that the vaporized body is one of the deepest technique
for Hijikata butoh. Until this year I could not notice the importance,
though I knew Hijikata wrote about it so many.

I have practiced bugs walk for over ten years every year.
But I found that until last night I have not understand it enough.
Especiall, I have egnored the last sentense of the text, because I felt
it is not beautifull as a poem by added unnecessary explanation.
But in the last mid night, the last sentense suddenly start shining.
On wendnesday we learned bugs walk with leading by Ikuko, and next day
we planed to visit a ancient Indian remains, 'kangra fort".
In the morning, I told students, "Remember the last sentense of the text of Bugs walk."
The whole text of bugs walk is the following;
Bugs walk
1. A bug is crawling on the back of your
right hand,
2. A second bug is crawling down from your left side of your neck to your
back,
3. A third bug is crawling up along your inner thigh,
4. A fourth bug is crawling down from your left shoulder to your chest,
5. A fifth bug … Ah, where is it?
6. You're so itchy, here and there. You can’t stand still.
You're pushed away from here by itchiness.
7. Itchiness under your chin, itchiness at the base of your ears, itchiness
around your elbows, itchiness around your kneecaps, itchiness around your
waist, Ah! There're five-hundred of them!
8. Around your eyes, around your mouth, in your ears, between your fingers,
in every mucous membrane. Five thousand bugs
9. A bug on every hair,
10. A bug in every pore,
11. From there thirty thousand bugs are
crawling down into your guts and eating them voraciously,
12. Having eaten them up the bugs are
coming out of your body through the pores,
Now they are eating the space around your body,
13. Now the bugs are full of the outer
space and eaten by another kind of bugs,
14. The condition is being eaten up by
another-another kind of bugs. 15. ( Half a billion bugs on a tree. The
inside is all gone. ) 16. It is your end. ( The will is the bug or the sense of material.).
"The last sentense is,
"It's your end. (Will is bug or sense of material).
Yesterday you tryed the first stage of bugs walk. You were moved by bugs not moving by your will. Today is the second stage of it. Today you will meet so various qualia at the Kangra fort, instead of bug, you are moved by the sense of matter at kangra fort. OK?"
The last sentense of the text of Bugs walk is the secret key to enter the
second stage of bugs walk. There was hidden an universal method to transform
the subtle resonance body. It is the last stage of Hijikata's weakened
body technique. We named it "Nests body" which keeps so many
nests of subbodies on the various part of body.

We beleived that the space is flat and equal (Fig.1).
But quantum mechanics changed this conclusion radically.
Brian Greene who is a physician of the string theory wrote,
" It takes on the frothing, turbulent, twisted from illustrated in
the uppermost part of the figure 2. John Wheeler coined the term Quantum Foam to discribe the frenzy revealed by such an ultramicroscopic examination
of space ( and time)---it discribes an unfamiliar arena of the universe
in which the conventional notions of left and right, back and front, up

When we could take off our ego and self, it becomes able to listen in the
subtle life resonance. Life is resonating with multi dimensional qualia
at the same time. This is the biggest different point between the consciousness
and life.
The
consciousness can do only one thing at the same time, thinking, feeling,
imaging, talking and so on.
But, life is resonating with gravity, light, sound, air, wind, weather,
and inner memories or dreams about them, at the same time. The life
of cell has so deep memories which was reserved during the four billion
years. But the consciousness doesn't notice it.
Then we need to stop our consciousness and listen in the life.
At the night of the day when we practiced Jo-Ha-Kyu of Bug's walk, Zeami
appeared in my dream and he ssemed to say something to me.
I noticed that I forgot to tell an important thing about Jo-Ha-Kyu, I woke
up in the midnight and read again the book of Zeami works.
He wrote about micro Jo-ha-Kyu as the following;
"There is Jo-Ha-Kyu in a movement of a foot step or a voice. If we
feel interesting in it, it is the completion of Jo-Ha-Kyu. I told you before
"1. Melody, 2.Timing, 3.Voice" about the timing of voice. It
means that the melody by instrument is "Jo", when you find the
best timing to start singing, it is "Ha", the voice is already
"Kyu". If your life feel intersting in the three, it is the completion
of Jo-Ha-Kyu."
The principle of subbody method is resonance of life.
How can we recover and facilitate the life resonance which has been forgotten
for the daily body in the modern human society, is the most important thing.
There are no teachers in the life resonance, because there are no subject
and no object in the resonance. We could be only a midwife who listen in
the breath of fetus of subbody and cobody, and help the birth of them.
They are hidden in the depth of our darkness of body. We need to stop thinking
and listen in the subtle signal of tendencies of them. There are no border
between one's body and the others body, the subbody and cobody are oneness
at the deep realm. When they come out, ocasionally they become subbody
or cobody.
The important five contents of midwife method are the following;
1. Become egoless and selfless condition, and open life resonance transparently.
2. Tree-rhizome mrthod
3. Ripple method
4. Facilitate the subbody-cobody process
5. Edge work
In this month, long term studetns will start to learn midwife process as
the following;
1. Starting to guide the conditioning process
2. Finding the best connection between conditioning and reseaching a specfic
hidden qualia; hidden skins, hidden fluid, hidden cavities, hidden muscles,
hidden joints, hidden nerves, and hidden eyes.
3. Reseaching the total connection among the conditioning, reseaching and
creating our ten bodies; Quiet body, Weakened body, Proto body, Passive
body, Hidden body, Vaporized body, Fossil body, bottom body, Kugutsu body,
Nest body, Possessed body, Anima-Animus body, Transparent body and various
cobodies.
Life is resonating with everything. The life resonance continued from the
beginning at four billion years ago.
About this, please view "The life" and "The resonance"
One of the most important hidden sense is the imaginary tale.
Now we don't have tale, but we have the nerve for tale still. The nerve
is forgotton for the daily body. But we can open the hidden nerve of tale.
It is connected with other hidden worlds; undergraund, heaven, behind, past, dead world, archtypes world, proto dream, forgotten memories.
The "Shijun of hip" which is one of the important choreograph
for women group of Hijikata Butoh is also connected with hidde nerve of
tale. The old ladies in the ancient community are moved by the resonance
with other world where the ancesters are living. To talk with them is "Hip
shijun" It is hard to understand, if you keep modern thinking way.
We need to learn to throw away our thinking habit by words.
To move by following the invisible tale is one of the way to release from
daily human body.
When we were an embryo or fetus, we did not know that we are human.
We didn't have thought, we didn't have seen, because we didn't have eyes
and brain.
We had only body fluid and skin of cell. Through skin, we felt everything,
we did resonate with the world. This is the proto sense. We need to open
this for sinking into deeper realm of the darkenss of body.
We can enter this world through cobody (=group) process. Cobody is connected
with corrective unconscious body. It is deeper than individual subconscious
body(=subbody).
Today, we started from resonance touch, shiatsu, and group contact with
rotten eyes.
We become embryo and fetus in the womb together. In these condition, the
body feeling was the main channel without visual, audio, smell, taste channels.
All senses were oneness as a integrated proto sense. With opening this
protosense, we did group reseach with contacting together with rotten eyes.
We become human mountain, human ocean, and human coutch. We did creation
and sharing together as a cobody=subbody.
This cobody process is closer to non-dual and multi-dimansional realm of
life than subbody process. I noticed that this is the very entrance of
"the Butoh of life" which Hijikata has researched in his last
stage. We may reach the entrance of the tunnel of butoh of life. It took
ten years investigation for me in Himalaya.
I gave two days workshop for young dancers in Phnom Penh.
They are normaly laerning or teaching Traditional Cambodian dance;the role
of Hiro, Hiroin,
Hanuman(Monkey god's dance in Hindhism) and so on.
As it was only two days, I focused on only three points.
1. Butoh is to transform dead body which mediates between living world
and dead world.
2. Stop daily mind and listen in subtle body feeling in the darkness of body.
3. Find each own bottom and search numinous body feeling which you have
never felt.
Searching the bottom and numinousum
1 and 2 is normal process of subbody method, and 3 the bottom was a special
experiment
at Cambodia.
Bottom is a unique body posture for each subbody which is warped or shrunken
into the limit. At the bottom we can meet novel, numinous qualia easily
compairing the daily postures.
It is not only physical shurinken shape, but a shape or movement in which
the qualia
become thickest.
As it is so difficult to explain by word, I showed some samples of bottom
of Hijikata and me, and let them to search their own bottom which have
never done, and never seen, through warping, twisting, shrinking, stretching
each part of body untill the limit.
If one meets numinous feeling in it, follow it, and create your own dance
from there.
I also used the cracked face, decayed body, warped roots in Angkor which is familiar for them.
Their self reseach was so sincere and full of challenging spirit. Almost of them were from
poor families and they couldn't speak English. But through the bodily communication,
they
got essential points perfectly like as blotting paper.
The last dances which they found moved me deeply.
My conviction that the bottom has an unknown possibility for necessary creation was confirmed.
The bottom is not only shrinked posture, any posture can be the bottom
which one can
meet one's own necessary movement.
The reason why one feels deep strange connection with the bottom posture is not
understood by oneself. It is numinous, but there must be hidden the deepest
secret for
one's life in it. The movement which comes out from the bottom spontaneously
has a thick possibility to be a necessary dance for each.
For example the transformation from the shape of a girl to animal was the key of flower, secret and mystery for Hijikata.
Research the bottom posture and numinos movement. It is the tresure house
of essential creation.
The bottom, numinousum, and edge are connected deeply. This year we will
investigate in these qualia deeper.
I visited Angkor Vat, Angkor Tom, and some tamples arround. I met many
cracked face of stone statues, but they still continue the smiles of compassion
beyond the time. May our dancing keep a moment which was crystallized beyond
time like this.
I found that the Buhddism as a thought was a origin of the thought of life
resonance.
And surprisingly so many roots of trees spreaded into stone structures
of temple. It seems moving trees eating human structures. They are teachers
of opening other dimension.
The resonant smile and the Dead who called me in Cambodia
Now I am at Phnom Penn, Cambodia to visit my old friend.
To travel far beyond three borders, and to meet an old friend is one of
the biggest pleasure in life.It is the first purpose to visit Cambodia.
And I had a promice to give workshop to
young Cambodian people with inviting by a Cambodian friend, Rith who visited Subbody School Last year.
But, not only these reasons, I felt that an unknown reason moved me to
this country.
At first I visited a market as usual when I visit a new contry, it was
amazingly rich! So many kinds of sea food and vesitables and so on. The
tradition of cocking is wonderful too with using various soi sources and
fish sources. I felt it's one of richest one on the planet within I know.
People's face is so calm. it is resonating with Khmer Bhudda images. I
could released deeply to meet them.
On the contrary, but, I have to visit a terrible place where is the memorial
of the Killing field by Khmer Rouge leaded by Pol Pot. Three million poeple
were killed near Phnom Penn.
The Dead in my darkness of body resonate with the Dead in the killing field, and moved me here. The Deads are resonating beyond time-space. I felt that the Dead in The World War, Aushubitz, Vietnum, Afgan, Iraq and so on are resonating in the darkness of body.
In human history, why these terrible things happens? I investigated in
it for long years.
Now slowly I can understand the essential reason. The thought of communism
lacked the principle of life resonance. In my young age I was an activist
anti-Imperalism, and anti-Stalinism. But also we didn't have the thought
of life resonance. We killed each other a lot.
The resonance by the Dead called me here, and they still asking us how
can we stop the war, violence by the nation-state. They seemes suggest
me, to think about the world change by the "Resocracy" deeper.
